Gabriella Centre is an NPO residential and holistic therapeutic educational care facility for children & young adults with severe to profound physical and Intellectual challenges such as Cerebral Palsy. Caring for children and their families in Kayamandi, Stellenbosch We feed 2000 children daily, and provide 30 internships for unemployed youths who work as education activators with Grade R - Grade 6 learners daily at our centre. We provide 100 unemployed women monthly food parcels as a supportive intervention for six months on our Sustainable Livelihoods Programme. We have vegetable gardens, workshops, training, mentorship, counselling and a book-sharing library for parents cannot afford to send their children to creche.

The reason is often as simple as they cannot afford, or do not have access to, basic feminine hygiene products. Eyes2Eyes is a registered non profit working to prevent blindness. Our mission is to assist young public health patients with preventable corneal blindness, with life changing sight restoration. Patients are referred to us from the Groote Schuur Hospital Cornea Clinic, the George Hospital and the Discount Vision Clinic in Port Elizabeth. We fund highly technical lenses to treat advanced cases of keratoconus. Public hospitals do not fund these lenses. Without our help, these patients are sent home to live a life with unnecessary blindness. Keratoconus starts in the teenage years. The Cornal Hendricks Foundation (CHF) are a nonprofit organization who aims to help raise every child who we come in contact within South Africa to become the best version of themselves through education, training, and coaching. The CHF would like to be able to provide bursaries for young people toward their studies and provide sport equipment for sportsmen and women who will be competing on school provincial level. He wants them to experience that there are people who still love and care for them and who believe in them to reach their dreams and live their potential.

Building started in 2019 and the steel frame and roof erected with a clear plan and adequate funding. The Barn would become a safe space to house our special needs animals, offer facilities to generate funding for the Sanctuary, provide accommodation for visitors/volunteers/staff, and serve as a hub for our outreach programs with office and training space to facilitate this. Once started, however, COVID struck the globe. The price of steel trebled and we used our entire budget to finish the steel frame and roof. The project was halted so that the Sanctuary could weather lockdown as resources were redirected towards animal care and day to day.

Cupcakes Of Hope raises funds for children diagnosed with cancer, they do this through their love of baking and enjoying cupcakes. Volunteers are invited to become Cupcake Angels and 'bake a difference' and host fundraisers at work, their church or child's school. Cupcake of HOPE assist more than 200 patients every month by paying for their medical and other day-to-day needs like nutritional food and nappies to wheelchairs, crutches and prosthetics. This year more than 2500 Educational Activity Care Packs have been delivered to all 20 pediatric oncology wards across South Africa. As a Hospice, we provide care for people with advanced, incurable terminal illness in the final stages of life. We promote Palliative care which is treatment focused on the patient as opposed to the disease. We provide Hospice care which is even more focused on the person; as it is provided once treatment has stopped. It is a specialized area of medicine as a lot of the focus is on comfort, pain management and symptom control where most medicine is focused on fighting disease for cure. Both Palliative care and Hospice care have the same focus, they both promote an improved quality of life.

PSFA is a registered South African non-profit organisation dedicated to combating child hunger in schools. Since 1958, PSFA has served over two billion nutritious meals to impoverished learners, improving their concentration, attendance, and academic performance. PSFA’s holistic school nutrition support programme ensures thousands of children receive the nourishment they need to thrive, reinforcing the fact that you can’t teach a hungry child. A donation of only R950 will enable PSFA to feed a child for a year, and R100 will feed a child for a month. Elke twee minuten sterft ergens ter wereld een vrouw aan baarmoederhalskanker. Ruim 85% van deze vrouwen is afkomstig uit ontwikkelingslanden. Het gaat vaak om jonge moeders die de spil zijn van het huishouden en onmisbaar zijn voor het gezinsinkomen. Wanneer zij wegvallen heeft dit grote gevolgen voor de familie en voor het dorp waarin zij wonen. Female Cancer Foundation streeft naar een wereld zonder baarmoederhalskanker. Dit doen wij door het ter plekke verlenen van zorg (screening en behandeling), het geven van educatie en voorlichting en het verrichten van onderzoek in het betreffende land. We werken hierbij altijd samen met een lokale partner. Daarbij richten we ons op goede voorlichting voor vrouwen (en mannen!) en trainen we lokale gezondheidswerkers in de See & Treat methode.
